Wildwood 26 Is A Hit
By Roger Dale Lee
This travel trailer will provide a camping experience the family will always treasure. Forest River has outdone themselves with the Wildwood 26 bunk house. They have created and engineered an excellent bunk house travel trailer. It is a travel trailer RV built for campers who are shopping for features that include a bunch of space-saving ideas. In this unit, you don't have to give up anything that would be in the best of travel trailers. This camper gives one most of the things you would find in the conveniences of your house. It is all just squeezed into a smaller package.
Let us start the floor plan description in front of the camper and make our way back to the end of the unit. The master bedroom has a short queen bed. Many manufacturer's say they have a queen bed, but do they? A queen is sixty inches wide, and eighty inches long. Most RV queen beds are sixty inches wide and seventy-six inches long. So it is about four inches shorter than a standard queen sized bed. It takes nothing away, however, from the functionality of the master bedroom. It has a beautiful bed spread, with matching valances. The night stands are a real bonus. Many builders leave them out of a small unit like this. You will fall asleep easily in this bedroom. Especially when the windows are open, and you can hear the crickets singing. What a neat thing then to wake up, and hear the birds singing in the morning.
The unique galley gives one the ability to move around comfortably, as you prepare to feed the family with a great meal. That is if you are not making it over the campfire. It is not like the old days. In this kitchen, you will find a microwave, double door refrigerator, and a cook top stove. I am impressed by the number of drawers, and cabinet doors there are in this kitchen too. But, that's not all! Abundant storage helps keep living clutter-free while you are vacationing; there is even a convenient pantry in the kitchen.
Across from the galley one will find the dining area, and the sofa, in a stylish slide-out. This gives a spacious feel to a small camper. It is easy to see the TV from either place. There is a compact entertainment center in the end of the living/galley area built-in the wall that separates the master bedroom from that area. The entertainment center can accommodate a twenty-six inch flat screen TV. It is extremely sharp that it can rotate to be seen from the master bedroom or the living room.
The bunk house and the bathroom are located on the end of the trailer. The bunks add a place to sleep without having to make down a bed with the sofa or dining table. Of course, if you need the additional sleeping capacity, you can do that. The bath has a neat shower, but a lot of the units have an exterior shower also. The exterior shower is especially convenient to spray the kids off when they come back from swimming, or they have been playing in the mud.
If you are searching for a smaller bunk house travel trailer, this could be the one. I give kudos to Forest River and Wildwood for designing such a practical travel trailer.
